A NEW ADVANTAGE IN SPIRAL & TURN CURVE CONVEYOR BELTING
The innovative design of the new Advantage hybrid conveyor belts combines acetal links and modules with rigid stainless steel rods, making the Advantage 120 and 200 ideal for use in food processing
applications where product release and sanitation is critical. The
unique design facilitates an exceptionally large open area without
compromising belt rigidity and strength. The Advantage spiral belts are
designed for freezing and cooling applications and have truly superior
sanitation characteristics due to the open module design and double
slotted links.
TESTED AND CERTIFIED TO NSF/3-A/ANSI 14159-3
Conventional
modular plastic conveyor belt designs can trap food and cleaning
solution residues in the hinge area between the rod and the
module. These residues can contaminate your product and over
time, aggressive cleaning solutions can weaken plastic rods.

By improving upon the competition's all-plastic belts, Ashworth developed the first and only spiral/turn-curve belt that is NSF Tested and Certified, as well as USDA Accepted for cleanability performance, the Advantage 120/200 series of belts! No other
spiral belt manufacturer has achieved certification or
acceptance. The competition has been tested, but only the
Advantage is proven cleanable.

This
rigorous standard was developed by the NSF Joint Committee on Food
Processing Equipment using the consensus process described by the
American National Standards Institute. The standard establishes
hygiene requirements for the design of mechanical conveyor
belts used in meat and poultry processing. The
USDA now uses this standard as the sole basis for acceptance of
conveyor belts used on poultry and meat processing facilities.

FULLY-SLOTTED MEANS CLEAN
The
stainless steel rods of the Advantage belts are impervious to harsh
detergents. The open design and fully-slotted links permit
unparalleled access to the rods to flush out food and chemical
residues. The result is the optimal spiral conveyor belt, providing
durability, high strength and efficient sanitation.
HIGHEST TENSION RATINGS & BEAM STRENGTH
Ashworth prides itself on offering tension ratings consistent with real-world use. Maximum Allowable Tension Ratingsincorporate a built-in safety factor to allow for the belt to safely
absorb tension peaks that occur in spiral/turn-curve conveyor
systems. The Advantage hybrid design achieves tension
ratings up to 2.5 times higher than the competition's all-plastic belts
in spiral applications. A backbone of stainless
steel rods adds beam strength that allows the Advantage belts
to support heavier product loads using less support rails and without
sagging.
GREATEST OPEN AREA & LEAST PRESSURE DROP
The Advantage design also provides the largest open area available in spiral belting today 67% for maximum airflow and cleanability, without compromising product support. In fact, ETL, an independent testing agency found the Advantage belts to have up to 370% less pressure drop than the leading competitors' all-plasticbelts. This allows spiral evaporator fans to run with less resistance and use less energy.
NO BLACK SPECKS GUARANTEED
The
metal/plastic hybrid design of the Advantage eliminates the possibility
of black specks. With the acetal plastic modules and links, there
is no instance of stainless steel rubbing against stainless
steel, a primary cause of black speck.

Advantage hybrid belts combine an all-plastic contact surface for
excellent product release, while stainless steel rods provide
superior beam strength.
EASY INSTALLATION & REPAIR
When
installing or repairing a belt, you need to be up and running again as
soon as possible. The Advantage belts feature Ashworth íxs patented
rod-locking system, which requires no clips or fasteners. Rods can be
removed or installed on the system in seconds, using only a
screwdriver. Unlike plastic rods, steel rods retain their original
shape and remain easy to remove, even after years of operation.
